We honor those who have served our country and communities with courage and dedication. Through the First Responder Assistance Program, we provide assistance to heroes facing unexpected challenges

Cpl. Malcolm Jones

A retired Detroit police corporal, Marine Corps veteran and Naval Seal Reservist. Malcolm is working toward recovery after a stroke ended decades of dedicated service to his country and community.

Cadet Daniel Brumar

In 2021, while serving as a Cadet with the Detroit Police Department, Daniel Brumar faced a sudden medical diagnosis and surgery that ended his time in uniform far too soon. 

Officer Jacob Lopez

In November 2023, while serving as a Sterling Heights Police Officer, Jacob “Jake” Lopez was diagnosed with a tumor in his spinal cord, marking a challenging chapter in his life and career.
